Clear Vision Through Expert Cataract Surgery

Aging often leads to the clouding of the lens of the eyes, due to changes that occur in the structure of the lens. When the lens becomes cloudy, vision is blurred, and images are no longer clear and sharp. Cataract surgery is the remedy for a clouded lens, and is the most common refractive surgical procedure performed in the US.

Cataract surgery involves removing the natural lens of the eye and replacing it with an implant or intraocular lens (IOL). It is generally a safe and effective procedure, covered by most health insurance providers, as well as Medicare.

Here at the Center for Ophthalmology, we offer a wide range of advanced IOL implants. You can choose from IOLs such as Crystalens, Restor, Toric, PanOptix and Vivity.

Dr. Loeffler and Dr. Kirschenbaum are also proud to introduce Laser Cataract Surgery, the first femtosecond laser cleared for cataract surgery! This innovative, blade-free technology helps overcome the most challenging aspects of cataract surgery with the precision of advanced laser technology.
